Christmas Traditions

“‘Tis the season to be jolly, tra la la la la la la la la”

Christmas is my MOST favourite time of year! I’ve been playing Christmas songs since October (I was allowed one a week in October, 1 a day throughout November and now it’s December, it is socially acceptable to play them to my hearts content! Lush!

I’ve been a terrible blogger for the past month or so (uni and other commitments took over) so I thought I’d break myself in gently once again with my top 5 Christmas Traditions:

1: We’ve had the same fake, Argos Christmas tree since I came out of the womb and it’s so old the green bits are almost all gone and it’s just metal twigs. But, we LOVE IT. So, the first thing we do is whack the tree up as early as possible (much to Dad’s dismay) and throw so much tinsel and lights at it that it’s blinding yet beautiful in it’s own special way.

2: Every Christmas Eve we are allowed to open one present each and every.single.year I open my present from my sister which is ALWAYS pyjamas ā¤ I can’t sleep on Christmas Eve without new pyjamas.

3: Stockings – me and my little brother have had the same stockings for years and years and we always have a tangerine and chocolate money in the bottom (i.e. christmas day breakfast).

4: We always have crackers & cheese on Christmas Day evening. Usually we have lunch around 3pm so by 9ish we’re pretty peckish so we dive into a huge platter of cheese, crackers and grapes.

5: Monopoly – Christmas Day is just not complete without a game of Monopoly and a bag of mini cheddars. We play until we all get so bored (usually 4 hours in) and agree to call it a ‘draw’.

I hope you have a wonderful December & a very Merry Christmaaas ā¤
