W7 – In The Nude (Oooh Cheeky)

We all know that the Urban Decay Naked Palettes are what dreams are made of. They are heaven in a metal tin. However, heaven in a metal tin comes at a price…one I certainly cannot afford on a student budget (yet £20 on a bottle of Pimms is totally okay? Questionable choices). Anyway, I’m going off on a tangent. Basically, I want the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, however, I can’t afford them (boo).

As a result I have been trying to find a dupe for AGES. I came across the W7 In the Nude palette in B&M Bargains of all places. At only £5.99 I thought it was worth a shot. I wasn’t expecting much as the cheap/tinny packaging isn’t the best quality but I was pleasantly surprised. It has 12 shades, ranging from a pale base colour, to all different shades of pinks – glittery and matte – to darker browns and purples. It also comes with a double ended brush with a sponge applicator on one end (not the best) and a small soft bristled brush on the other end which is actually really good for precision and getting into the crease of your eye lid.

The colours themselves aren’t hugely pigmented but they are definitely buildable and you can get some gorgeous shading by layering a few of the similar pinky shades on top of each other to create a neutral, toned down smoky eye.

I personally don’t use an eye lid primer but even so, these eye shadows don’t tend to budge for most of the day and they’re so easy to wear on a daily basis.

I’m so happy I came across this…I can now use this palette whilst I try and convince any family member at all to get me the Naked palettes for Christmas/Birthday. Woo!

Hope you’re all having a wonderful week,

Happy November – Weekend Wonders

I just LOVE the weekend; waking up to no alarm, cooking programmes and eggs for brekkie is just perfection!

This weekend, I didn’t surface from under the covers until at least 11am both Saturday & Sunday & once I did I lounged around watching Mary Berry’s cooking programmes (don’t ya just wish she was your granny) and a whole load of Saturday Kitchen with a huge pot of tea in bed.

We ambled down to the local food market to pick up some local eggs, bread and apple juice and when we got home we made the scrummiest lazy day brunch!

The rest of the day consisted of reading whilst surrounded by candles (bliss) and working my way through the Trick or Treater’s box of goodies!

Today, we had a long, ambling walk down the beach and now we’re curled up on the sofa, watching Netflix & drinking tea, perfection!

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend!
